In this crucial role, you will own selling Tecan Genomics products in the Northeast. This role reports to the President of Tecan, US. You will travel at least 50% of the time and regularly overnight. This is a remote position with a preferred home base in Boston, MA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve sales target and develop the business within the assigned territory
- Prospect, develop, and close sales in the assigned territory
- Participate in lead generation for sales through routine account penetration
- Contact prospective customers to determine product needs and perform sales presentations to match those identified needs
- Develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and retention through one-on-one contact with current and potential customers
- Develop and implement plans to achieve assigned sales growth and product mix.
- Actively participate in sales and company meetings, providing quality input and follow-up actions
- Work closely with commercial colleagues, technical support, and global marketing teams to develop and implement sales tactics and activities
- Maintain Customer Relationship Manager system (CRM) by adding new contacts and opportunities, generating quotes, and keeping all customer information current
- Provide accurate forecast information on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Travel regularly. Anticipated travel time is 50%, including overnights

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- A B.S. degree in Life Sciences is required. Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of technical sales experience
- Demonstrated track record of selling complex, technical life science products or solutions
- Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and knowledge of NGS platforms, applications, and tools providers
- Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to communicate to gain commitment

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Annual Salary Range: $170,000-$190,000 DOE
