Your contribution

In this dynamic and impactful role, you will support the Project Management Office (PMO) in orchestrating cross-functional projects, structuring steering committee materials, reporting on strategic initiatives and KPIs, and resolving cross-functional conflicts. You’ll enable transparency towards senior management through structured reporting, management updates, and coordination across functions. Acting as a connective layer between project leads and senior leadership, you’ll help ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables, and support timely escalation where required.

 

You will also contribute to strategic projects, market intelligence, and M&A activities across both the Life Science and Partnering divisions, gaining exposure to senior management and collaborating across the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the PMO in executing company-wide strategic initiatives across Operations, Commercial, and R&D
  • Independently manage and coordinate selected cross-functional projects or initiatives
  • Track progress against objectives, milestones, and KPIs, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Consolidate inputs from project leads into coherent, fact-based reporting for senior management
  • Prepare structured status updates, dashboards, and steering committee materials for Executive Management and Board Members
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops to resolve conflicts and drive alignment
  • Conduct analytical support for strategic initiatives, including data collection, performance analysis, and impact assessments
  • Support and drive M&A activities, including market intelligence, target identification, due diligence, and integration

 

Your background

We’re not just looking for hard skills: We’re looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work.

  • M.Sc in Sciences (preferably life sciences disciplines, e.g. Biology or Engineering) with further education/experience in business administration / OR M.Sc in Economics with genuine interest in Life Science and consultancy experience; dual degree preferred
  • Initial working experience (up to 3 years) in strategy development with a top-tier management consultancy (life science/healthcare exposure) or in a corporate development department of a life science company
  • At least one internship with a consultancy, in a corporate development department, or in investment banking
  • PMO experience: reporting on strategic initiatives, KPIs, cross-functional project orchestration, structuring steering committee materials, resolving cross-functional conflicts
  • Excellent analytical, fact-based strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding Excel skills (analyzing complex data sets, financial modeling) and PowerPoint skills (drafting and messaging)
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Intense creativity, integrity, and ability to juggle multiple priorities and focus on the critical few
