Associate Field Automation Engineer

Greater Boston Area

 

 

Responsible for Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) and minor repairs on all Tecan products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on Tecan instruments.
  • Participation in the sharing of information obtained from unique problems or training
  • Specialized to the Field Service Team and the Tecan organization if appropriate.
  • Performs record keeping of service calls according to company policy.
  • Maintains appropriate parts inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level;
  • anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Provides back-up service support outside of assigned territory as needed.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and reviewing technical publications.
  • Handles essential tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.
  • Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns
  • This position requires a presence in the greater Boston area and the ability and willingness to maintain a travel schedule, including traveling on short notice.

Experience

  • BS degree in Life Science or Computer Science desired
  • Electro/mechanical experience a plus
  • Well-developed PC skill level, including MS Windows and Office Suite.
