Associate Scientist

SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for ensuring quality product is produced according to SOPs. Provide support for production, quality, and materials with activities and projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Produce high-quality products by following Tecan Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) and adhering to Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Knowledge of good documentation and laboratory practices according to ISO guidelines; i.e., working in laboratory areas under proper gowning guidelines, handling of temperature sensitive material, and cross-contamination prevention

 

  • Reagent manufacturing that entails following quality documentation and ensuring product integrity.  Responsibilities include:
  • Print product labels
  • Manufacture reagent bulks utilizing micropipettes and semi-automated dispensers
  • Label, fill, & cap subassembly vials and 96-well plates for finished goods
  • Finished Goods kit assembly

 

  • Inventory maintenance
  • Maintain stock of materials to support planned builds
  • Support physical count/cycle count of inventory
  • Ensure material reconciliation is aligned between the build and ERP database

 

  • Other manufacturing support:
  • Transaction processes (work orders, expenses, transfers) in inventory/ERP database
  • Review completed manufacturing batch records
  • Preventative maintenance for designated equipment
  • Routine maintenance, stocking and decontamination of production facilities

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB. THE JOB DESCRIPTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMPLETE LISTING OF ALL MISCELLANEOUS, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DUTIES THAT MAY BE ASSIGNED DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS.

 

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience (3+ years)
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology or biochemistry
  • Excellent Pipetting skills
  • Knowledge of navigating and using inventory databases

 

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Annual Salary Range: $28 -$31/hour DOE
