And we need you to join our team as our PM Production Supervisor at our Baldwin Park, California facility.

 

Summary: Ensure timely and efficient production of high quality consumable products. Responsible for staffing and scheduling departmental personnel to ensure production requirements are met. Promote culture of quality in all aspects of the manufacturing process. PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FROM 2:30 PM to 11 PM (SECOND SHIFT).

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Manufacturing Operations

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:    

 

 1. Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures and instructions to ensure on time delivery, manufacturing efficiency, cost and quality.

 2. Ensure implementation of materials, capital and manpower activities to attain output goals.

 3. Make sure that products are produced on time and cost effectively.

 4. Set priorities and review work for quality.

 5. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures affecting employees, consistent with company policies.

 6. Record, monitor and take necessary actions on KPIs for efficiency and performance.

 7. Review NCR reports and participate in complaint investigations meetings to identify nonconformities due to the production process. Develop corrective actions.

 8. Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate production personnel.

 9. Coordinate overtime in his/her group with Director of Manufacturing Operations.

10. Coordinate with Manufacturing Technician on production equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure product quality is maintained.

11. Ensure the quality policy is understood, implemented and maintained.

12. Maintain production conformance with Tecan SP, Inc. policies and applicable regulations and standards.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITEIS INCLUDE THE PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB. THE JOB DESCRIPTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMPLETE LISTING OF ALL MISCELLANEOUS, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DUTIES, WHICH MAY BE ASSIGNED DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

  •  High School, GED, trade school or equivalent years of manufacturing experience with 1+ years of supervisor/manager role
  •  2-3 years of experience in scheduling, material, manufacturing production control activities preferred.
  •  Ability to drive quality and productivity improvements.
  •  Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives.
  •  Must possess basic computer skills, Microsoft Office applications a plus

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Combination of standing and walking for a minimum of 2.5 hours at a time.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
