Production Technician I

Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $19.25

SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, works from procedures, work instructions and/or verbal instructions to operate manufacturing equipment in the production of consumable products. Responsible for the day-to-day machine maintenance.

Reports to: Production Supervisor

What you do:

• Follow procedures and work instructions.
• Set up and operate production equipment to assist with manufacturing, production, and packaging of a production line.
• Monitors equipment for product quality, defects, stalls, or jams.
• Verifies material specification and proper installation.
• Starts and stops production run.
• In-process inspection for defects of production output.
• Make visual inspections and follow checklists.
• Receives production order information from a Lead, Asst. Supervisor or Supervisor.
• Report daily production and adequately complete production records, logs and documentation
• Assist with product assembly and packaging as needed.
• Assist with material processing, cleaning, and tasks related to the manufacturing operation.
• Support the Quality System and Quality Policy by following procedures / work instructions and creating records to meet the requirements of Tecan SP Quality System and ISO registration

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB. THE JOB DESCRIPTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMPLETE LISTING OF ALL MISCELLANEOUS, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DUTIES THAT MAY BE ASSIGNED DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS.

What you Bring:

• Math skills necessary for this position include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, percentages and decimals.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Good verbal and written language skills.
•  1+ year Clean Room environment, medical industry or chemistry environment work experience is preferred..

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for long periods; estimated 80%
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time; estimated 80%
• Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Must have good hand dexterity
• Must have good hand-eye coordination
