Field Service Engineer

 

What you will do

As FSE, based in Madrid, you will work for an industry leader, joining a global team of engineers that are committed to ensuring Tecan’s professional service for our customers who utilize our scientific instrumentation and software. In this position you are responsible to provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches. Additionally, you build positive relationships with our customers, and comprehend customer requirements.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Perform instruments installation, software installation and update, preventive maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and other service support activities
  • Training of new and existing customers on the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Perform the execution of service orders according to the criteria: shortest response time, minimum travel costs and set priorities
  • Support sales representatives at their sales efforts, product demonstrations and trade shows
  • Maintain and optimize customer satisfaction, service quality, productivity and profitability.

 

What you bring along

  • BS degree in  mechanical, electrical, bioengineering or scientific field
  • At least two years of experience in Field Service and/or Application Support of laboratory equipment
  • Experience in the field of lab-automation is a clear plus but not a must
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel – national and international
  • Highly customer-oriented mindset
  • Keen to work as a team and learn
