Marketing Specialist Life Sciences (80 - 100%)

What you will do

In this new role you will support Tecan’s European field organization with execution of marketing activities for Tecan’s Life Science Business (LSB). You will support the European sales development team with production of marketing materials, execution of marketing campaigns and organization of trade shows.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Develop in-depth understanding of Tecan’s markets, applications and customer base, based on product trainings, customer visits and key performance indicators (KPI) analysis
  • Produce marketing materials featuring Tecan’s products addressing the life science and diagnostic market with targeted communication
  • Planning and organization of webinars with selection of suitable 3rd party provider, target audience, advertisement channels and strategies
  • Support planning and execution of marketing campaigns to address specific customer groups or promote specific Tecan products
  • Develop measurement strategies and KPIs for all marketing programs. Provide ongoing campaign optimization to improve conversion results based on KPI analysis.
  • Support participation of Tecan’s local sales organizations at trade shows and scientific conferences
  • Support strategic sales development with planning and execution of their marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with global marketing to be aligned with global initiatives
  • Work with 3rd party service providers for production of marketing materials
  • Administrate distribution channels for marketing materials like ShowPad

 

What you bring along

  • BSc or MSc in biology, biochemistry or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years related sales/business development and/or sales/marketing experience required in the field of life sciences
  • Solid knowledge of applications, products, markets and technologies in life sciences
  • Prior direct exposure to microplate reader or lab automation (business or as user) is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, affinity to MS Excel is an advantage
  • Objective driven, structured and pragmatic working style - Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Work with timelines and finish projects accordingly
  • Willingness to travel internationally (10% in Europe)
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other EU language is an advantage.
