Sales Account Manager SPE & Chromatography (DACH) m/f/d (100 %)


What you will do

In this newly created position, you will be responsible for growing Tecan’s portfolio of functional SPE consumables for MS sample preparation and help establish Tecan as a market leading supplier in Life Sciences, Bio-/Pharma and Applied Markets. The primary objective of the job is to achieve and ideally exceed the sales targets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by growing our customer base and developing lasting customer relationships, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities will include      

  • Introduce the latest positive pressure technology focusing on co-developed functional consumables (SPE, SLE, filtration) in assigned territories.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting and personal visits, make customers adopt our products and establish lasting customer relations and key accounts.
  • Work closely with colleagues from sales and service to identify suitable accounts, facilities and persons for your assigned portfolio and support your colleagues in related projects.
  • Collaborate with customers to help understand needs and identify solutions with focus to create new value-added business opportunities.
  • Establish Tecan is recognized as strategic partner, looking for cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with instrument sales specialists for liquid handling and detection whenever suitable.
  • Lead projects that require coordinating with a cross-functional team. Partner with application specialist, instrument sales, service, and product management to identify new applications and guarantee customer satisfaction winning large sales projects.
  • Bear responsibility to document customer-relationship, sales forecasting, order performance and other reporting to achieve annual business growth targets.

 

What you bring along

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or other Life Sciences
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry related sales experience, specifically sales of SPE products, with a focus on smart consumables preferred
  • Highly technical background may be substituted for sales experience
  • Knowledge of Solid Phase Extraction techniques, such as D&S, SLE, LLE, SPE
  • LCMS experience preferred
  • Team-player & problem-solver with hands-on mentality & high level of commitment
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Willingness to travel widely, often internationally (up to 60%) within DACH region. (Occasional visits at key accounts in Southwest Europe may be required.)
