Job Title: Automation & FAS Manager (Job Code: AFASM-JAWA)

Location: Morgan Hill, CA

Salary: $153,254.00 - $157,300.00 per year.

 

Job Duties: Lead development and deployment of the company’s automated robotic applications using the company’s automation team and leveraging global Tecan teams. Liaise with Research and Development (R&D), Sales, and Marketing, Managers and Tech Support Managers. Supervise the day-to-day activities of the robotics technicians within the Automation and Field Automation/Application Scientist (FAS) Teams. Ensure training and development of Tecan Genomics' Automation Team in automated liquid handling script development, and customer support. Drive Tecan Genomics' Automation Strategy. Develop automated solutions that utilize Tecan Genomics products on Tecan and 3rd party liquid handling automation devices, including standardized scripting structure and modules for Next-Generation Sequencing DNA/RNA library platform. Manage technical partnerships with liquid handling automation platform providers. Provide Pre/Post-Sales support, including ensuring successful demos and training for the company’s automated robotic systems. Partner with Director of Research to provide voice of customer inputs to relevant teams. Partner with technical support to investigate customer issues as needed to ensure resolution in an effective and timely manner. US and international travel approximately 50% of the time. Telecommuting permitted within area of intended employment.

 

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Biological Science, Chemistry or related plus 3 years of related experience.
