Join our team as a Field Service Technician, where you will play a critical role in installing, servicing, repairing, and supporting electro-mechanical instruments used in life science and healthcare environments.
In this role, you will assemble and test instruments, perform onsite installations and repairs, and provide direct technical support and training to customers. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability, compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.

How Will You Make an Impact?
• Assemble, test, and verify electro-mechanical instruments and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment
• Perform soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly, and functional testing using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment
• Follow SOPs, engineering drawings, work instructions, and manuals to ensure accurate and consistent builds
• Conduct visual inspections and preliminary quality checks on assemblies and finished instruments
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instruments in-house and at customer sites
• Perform onsite installation, setup, servicing, and calibration of instruments at customer locations
• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and onsite visits
• Deliver onsite training to customers on instrument operation and basic troubleshooting
• Complete detailed Customer Service Reports and maintain accurate service documentation
• Assist with packaging, crating, and shipment of instruments and components
• Support Engineering (R&D and Manufacturing Engineering) with technical projects and investigations
• Follow ESD, PPE, and safety protocols at all times
• Ensure compliance with company Quality System and ISO requirements
• Maintain organized work areas and support inventory accuracy
• Communicate status updates, technical issues, and escalations to internal teams
• Travel extensively to customer sites to support installations and service needs

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Your Background
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of electro-mechanical assembly or field service experience required
• 1+ year of basic electronics training or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience in a manufacturing, instrumentation, or field service environment preferred
• Familiarity with quality systems (ISO or similar) preferred
• Experience documenting service work, repairs, or technical procedures
Nice to Have
• Experience performing onsite installation, calibration, or equipment commissioning
• Exposure to laboratory, diagnostic, or life science instrumentation
• Experience providing technical training or customer support
• Background supporting engineering or manufacturing troubleshooting activities
• Basic inventory management or logistics experience
Physical & Travel Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive technical tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and field environment
• Approximately 95% travel required, including domestic and international assignments
