(Senior) Key Account Manager OEM Components EMEA 80-100%

 

What you will do

In this challenging role within our Partnering Business (PB) division you are responsible for finding and engaging with new prospects as well as assigned key customers within the region for the purpose of driving new OEM business opportunities. The (Senior) Key Account Manager will engage with these accounts with the goal of developing relationships within the accounts and driving profitable growth within the region (EMEA).  The (Senior) Key Account Manager will be focused on driving technical solutions and providing feedback to the internal Tecan stakeholders on portfolio gaps.   

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Develops and maintains a high level of consultative component integration sales skills, sufficient knowledge of accounts and product knowledge with associated features and benefits required to convert customer needs to sales.

  • Develops a strong understanding of competitive products, tactics and markets and develops strategies to overcome the competition in sales situations. 

  • Meets or exceeds set performance incentives which include sales budget attainment, opportunity development and other similar financial goals.

  • Negotiates and administers contracts in conjunction with the sales and marketing leadership.

  • Responds to and resolves customer complaints or problems that arise, by personal action. Ability to investigate problems, develop solutions, make recommendations to management and by securing the assistance and support from others in the organization including the Helpdesk.

  • Works closely with other areas of the Tecan team to create synergies across the business by developing and executing key account strategies.

  • Works with internal stakeholders to define technical portfolio gaps and assists with various marketing activities to drive innovation.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

 

What you bring along

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business.

  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years field sales experience in B2B sales in OEM IVD, medical device, or design services market.

  • Experience executing large OEM customer account strategies.

  • Extensive experience with electromechanical devices is required.  Electrical engineering or Systems engineering preferred.

  • Product design and development experience required.

  • Must have aptitude for and understanding of Electrical, Mechanical assemblies and software.

  • Fluent in English, additional languages such as German and French a plus.
