Your contribution
Joining our service team means taking on a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for various aspects, including installations, integrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs for all Tecan products. Your contribution extends to ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, service quality, and overall profitability through meticulous planning and organization of activities.
Key Tasks and Activities:
- Execute instrument installations, including qualification and integration of third-party devices, alongside diagnosing problems, conducting repairs, and performing preventive maintenance and upgrades.
- Deliver comprehensive customer training sessions on product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting, sharing valuable insights and expertise with both the service team and the broader Tecan organization.
- Maintain a well-organized travel schedule, responding promptly to service calls and ensuring timely arrival at customer sites.
- Manage service documentation in a regulated environment, adhering to company policies and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts to facilitate efficient service operations.
- Provide backup support beyond your assigned territory as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to support the team across different geographical areas.
- Collaborate closely with project and service management teams, as well as other departments, manufacturers, and suppliers, fostering effective communication and cooperation.
- Embrace opportunities to take on additional tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to meeting evolving business needs.
Your background

- Engineering education preferred; Mechanical education considered with preference for broader engineering qualifications.
- Life science Industry experience, preferably in a field service role.
- Proficiency in English and French, German is nice to have.
- Familiarity with laboratory automation is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Resilient and open-minded approach to collaborating with diverse cultures.
