Senior Embedded Software Engineer 80-100%

What you will do

In this challenging and important role, you are responsible for designing, implementing and testing of embedded software modules. You are the go-to person when it comes to software components and solutions for liquid handling systems and robotic applications. You ensure adherence with the current regulations by writing clear and detailed technical documentation. By analyzing and implementing software concepts you’re able to enhance functional and technical aspects of the product.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Planning, development of software concepts
  • Project effort and risk estimations
  • Implementation of C++ code using state of the art development and test tools
  • Ensuring software quality by organizing code reviews and pair programming
  • Troubleshooting, error correction
  • Lead implementation tasks
  • Systematic implementation of process and regulatory documentation
  • Ensuring know-how preservation and expansion
  • Ensuring code and platform maintainability
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with electronics, software, motion control, mechanics, production
  • Evaluation of new tools and methods
  • Definition of coding standards and other guidelines
  • Pro-active task tracking and reporting
  • Ensuring cross-project consistency of solutions
  • Close collaboration with software/system architects

 

What you bring along

  • Technical degree in computer science, robotics, control technologies, electrical or software engineering
  • 5+ years work experience in instrument development, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Experience in software development including testing and documentation
  • Strong knowledge in object-oriented programming
  • Know-how in C++ and .NET Framework
  • Familiar with Embedded Software Experience in Real Time Applications
  • Fluent German and English skills
