Repair Center Technician

What you will do

The Repair Center Technician serves customers by researching, testing and repairing both Tecan AT and Tecan AG parts and instruments; maintains inventory of repaired parts. This individual works with Repair Center in repairing instruments, and assists Technical Service with instrument problem research and resolution.  Strong communication skills to support frequent contact with internal groups for updates on status of instrument repair and inventory levels. Strong troubleshooting skills to determine problems with complex instrumentation and the ability to multitask to function in a busy environment.



Responsibilities will include

  • Tests and repairs Tecan AT instruments.                                              
  • Tests and repairs Tecan AG parts and components.                       
  • Provides in-house service, repair, and assembly of demos and new instruments.
  • Maintains technical knowledge through training classes and keeping abreast with instrument documentation/literature.                             
  • Prepares accurate service records of all repairs.                                    
  • Handles essential tasks as assigned, and responds to change productively.
  • Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns.

  • 2 years trade school or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a technical field with hands on bench experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7 operating systems  to current and Microsoft Office required.
