Technical Sales Support Manager

What you will do

Combining customer service,  technical skills, and management - We offer the ability to directly impact the customer experience in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

 

  • Primary focus is to assist both external and internal customers by providing technical assistance on all Tecan products.  You will manage technical support personnel regarding customer and employee calls for Tecan supported products.  You will support Quality Systems and Quality Policies by following procedures, work instructions, and proper documentation to meet quality system regulations and ISO requirements.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Manages Technical Support personnel.
  • Hires and mentors new Technical Support personnel.                                    
  • Ensure CSAT is foremost in Technical Support                            
  • Ensures all QA/RA regulations are followed                                                    
  • Aids the VP of S&C in analysis of customer satisfaction and SLA’s                             
  • Manages VAR accounts from a service perspective and 3rd party vendors                            
  • Maintains technical knowledge of new instruments, accessories and application in order to direct and support technical support personnel within the department by attending educational workshops and seminars; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; participates in professional societies.                                                            
  • Ensures SAP is utilized properly and that it contains accurate information.     
  • Answers customer, Service Engineer, and Sales personnel telephone and email  inquiries.
  • Handles essential tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.
  • Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns.

 

 

What you bring along

 

Experience

 

  • BA or BS in, Biology, Chemistry, Medical technology, Robotics, Automation or related fields
  • 1-2 years automation/instrumentation experience desired.
  • 1-2 years Supervisory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Applications.

 

Skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong follow-up skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a manner that reflects the business expectations.
  • High level of commitment and initiative.
  • Professional phone etiquette required.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% per month.
  • Retains a valid driver’s license.
  • Dependability is a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (including legible handwriting).
  • A desire to make the difference!
