Warehouse Support
Morrisville, NC

Your contribution

Provide proper processing, packing, shipping and tracking of goods coming in and out of the warehouse. Provide involvement and adherence to all quality and regulatory procedures for the warehouse.

  • Prepares and receives or ships goods against purchase orders, returned sales orders (RSO), and service material transfer sheets.                                                    
  • Receiving                                                         
    • Verify items received against purchase order for proper shipment
    • Inspect and count items of incoming parts or instruments to detect shortages, damages in transit, broken packages and obvious defects, following standard procedures.
    • Move material to proper area department or storage area.
    • Operate forklift, pallet jack or manual dolly to unload, move or store materials.
  • Shipping

    • Assemble orders, check against shipping/customer orders, report shortages and follow up to locate items or incomplete orders
    • May prepare packing list and bill-of—lading, following standard procedures
    • Determine method of packaging, crating, boxing or skidding shipments.
    • Plan transfer of product to shipping area and assist loading product on truck.
    • Prepare export products according to specified packaging requirements.
    • May route shipments according to customer, company, or regulatory specifications, requiring knowledge of freight rates, classifications, interstate commerce laws and regulations for most economical transportation.
    • Arrange for carrier pick-up.     
  • Organizes and stocks warehouse inventory.                                               
  • Cleans and organizes warehouse area.                                                    
  • Performs daily cycle counts                                                                         
  • Reports any inventory discrepancy to the Operations Manager.                      
  • Handles essential tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.
  • Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns.

 

Your background

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Valid drivers license and previous forklist experience is needed
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to mult-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to get the job done no matter what it takes.
  • High level of commitment and initiative
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups inside and outside of the organization
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Dependability is a must for this position
