As the Payroll Manager, Americas for Tecan, you will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, Americas, and play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy and efficiency. You will proactively address client requests, provide timely solutions, and support internal users through effective training. Your collaborative approach and commitment to seeing issues through resolution helps you build trusted relationships across the organization. How you will make a difference.

  • Responsible for day-to-day interactions with employees, managers, HR, and finance, building strong relationships.
  • Proactively identify issues and utilize available resources to identify appropriate solutions for clients. Manage inquiries and proactive follow-up.
  • Trains employees in the use of the ADP system. Proactively reaches out to identify new users and leaders.
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely with 100% accuracy. Proactively acts on all payroll instructions, arranges payment methods, monitors, validates, and acts on any issues in each payroll run. Communicates payroll status quickly and accurately.
  • Troubleshoot payroll problems in real-time. Creatively addresses complex issues. Actively communicates regarding usage and best practices while anticipating future client needs. Demonstrates sound judgment, uses resources wisely and knows when to escalate.
  • Create reports leveraging ADP’s standard reports or create custom reports to ensure data integrity is 100% accurate and to allow the business leaders to make sound decisions on data.
  • Coordinate the workflow and procedures between Payroll/Accounting and Human Resources Department.
  • Administer domestic payroll in accordance with a bi-weekly schedule. Review processed payroll for accuracy, and run payroll reports i.e., salary, overtime, headcount, and 401k reports. Distribute reports to appropriate persons.
  • Import information from SAP (once available) and ADP Time and Attendance into the ADP payroll system and check for accuracy.
  • Maintain the employee records in the payroll system, ensure new hires flow correctly into ADP and all benefits/changes for employees are updated in a timely matter.
  • Ensure procedures adhere to the compliance regulations of the federal/state/local agencies.
  • Lead the payroll implementation in ADP from Workforce Now to Comprehensive Pay.
  • Lead contact for the payroll implementation in ADP from SAP.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of orientation and an understanding of the business needs.
  • Views the situation from the user’s perspective and tries to understand the obvious and hidden needs of users.
  • Ensures seamless interaction between support teams and proactively shares information to provide a coordinated approach when solving issues,
  • You make positive suggestions as to how to improve the service process.
  • Actively engages in self-learning and self-improvement.

 

What you bring.

  • In-depth ADP experience
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with at least two years in a service organization
  • SAP system experience
  • A passion for helping others and professional communication through phone, email, and in person. Listening and providing empathy is crucial.
  • Clear and strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft office skills, including Excel tables, mathematical aptitude, and logical reasoning.  Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service skills are a must
  • Confidence: A proactive, independent, and logical approach to solving complex problems
  • Versatile: Resiliency and the ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful: The ability to appropriately and effectively use resources to find and validate answers and resolve and document issues.
  • Team player who initiates solutions to help the team meet performance goals
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Payroll Certification
  • Interest in growing your knowledge on payroll, tax, and human resource-related topics
  • Experience with payroll implementations
  • Fluent in Spanish or Vietnamese a plus

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 DOE
