Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in testing and troubleshooting complex assemblies? Join our team as a Production Test Technician, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of system-critical electro-mechanical and optical products.

In this role, you will assemble, test, and troubleshoot precision subassemblies, working with advanced test equipment and detailed procedures. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure products meet strict quality standards.

How Will You Make an Impact?

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and optical modules
• Perform precision assembly and alignment of optical subassemblies under a microscope
• Utilize test and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers) to inspect and diagnose issues
• Interpret and follow technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Create and update work instructions and manufacturing documentation
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues using strong problem-solving skills
• Support and participate in small technical projects, working independently or collaboratively
• Process and resolve CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and non-conformances
• Maintain accurate test records and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturability

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precision work
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical procedures
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Your Background

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate (AS) or Bachelor’s (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or assembly
• Strong understanding of DC and electronics theory
• Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
• Proficiency with test equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Familiarity with optical or electro-mechanical assembly techniques preferred
• Basic computer skills and general PC literacy

Nice to Have

• RF (radio frequency) knowledge and hands-on experience
• Experience working with optical systems or precision alignment
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to perform detailed work under a microscope for prolonged durations
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and move materials as needed
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precision assembly

Salary range: $27/HR– $32/HR
(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)
