SUMMARY:

Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing aspects to commercialize and promote Tecan Genomic’s products and solutions within the assigned application area(s) globally. It includes development and execution of a strategic marketing plan, product launches, and marketing campaigns.

 

He/she serves as a single point of contact for the business leaders, product and application managers, external vendors/contractors, as well as regional organizations – all pertaining to marketing of the assigned product categories and application are-as.

 

It is a highly strategic role with a strong hands-on approach.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work closely with business leaders and product/application managers to align on a strategic marketing plan, key priorities, targets, budgets, and execution timelines.
  • Responsible for development, planning, design, and execution of go-to-market plans and marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Support Product & Application Management in development of value propositions, positioning statements, competitive playbooks, and respective communication plans.
  • Development and creative execution of marketing campaigns and inbound marketing tactics for lead generation and nurturing.
  • Ensure global alignment and collaboration between the HQ team and regional organizations while planning and executing on the global marketing plan and marketing campaigns.
  • Define field communications plan to ensure global sales force is well informed about all relevant marketing activities and sales tools available to enable commercial success.
  • Manage assigned marketing budget and ensure marketing plans are executed effectively given the available resources and timelines.
  • Track marketing campaign performance against the pre-defined KPIs and metrics. Prepare and present regular campaign reports to showcase success or take required action to improve based on lessons learned.
  • Identify and implement relevant new technologies, communication trends, and services to drive marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and commercial success. 
  • Engage Key Opinion Leaders in marketing activities and align their participation with business leaders and compliance team. 
  • Serve as key contact person for social media expertise and insights. Collect best practices and share with the global marketing team to elevate the team expertise. Own day-to-day management of key social media channels.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Responsible for conducting regular document review per Quality System requirements.

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or Medical Device industry
  • At least 3-5 years of marketing experience within a multinational organization, including hands-on experience launching new products and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Development of impactful value propositions; coaching and guiding technical teams through the process.
  • Translating difficult technical concepts into easy to understand stories; ability to illustrate technical concepts in creative visuals and develop product benefit to market.
  • Negotiating and managing deliverables in line with budget, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Creative thinker who continuously crafts innovative ideas to reach target audiences and have in-depth knowledge of various marketing tactics. 
  • Strong technical acumen and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • General understanding of digital media, online marketing and other major marketing channels, preferably in Life Sciences space.
  • Ability to develop concepts and personal engagement plans to win KOL support for product launches or marketing campaigns.
