Your contribution

As the Regional Channel Sales & Distributors Manager EMEA, you will play a key role in driving Tecan’s growth across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing distributor network, ensuring our partners are empowered to deliver advanced laboratory automation solutions to customers in life sciences, applied markets, and clinical diagnostics. By acting as a strategic link between market needs and Tecan’s internal teams, you will help shape business development and product innovation. Your efforts will ensure the successful positioning and adoption of complex technical solutions, while fostering strong, self-sufficient distributor relationships that support Tecan’s reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing performance management of distributor partners across EMEA.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans with each distributor, ensuring alignment with Tecan’s growth objectives.
  • Own the full sales cycle—from opportunity generation to project delivery—acting as the primary interface between distribution partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support distributors in customer engagement, including joint visits, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Monitor distributor performance, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement of sales performance and profitability.
  • Provide technical expertise in laboratory automation, instrument configuration, and integrated solutions.
  • Deliver high-level technical presentations and participate in key customer discussions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of complex and high-value projects.
  • Travel extensively (50–70%) across the EMEA region to support distributor and customer needs.

 

Your background

  • Degree in technical or natural sciences (molecular biology, physics, engineering, or related fields).
  • 5+ years’ experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or laboratory automation, with hands-on exposure to complex lab instruments or automation platforms.
  • Proven track record managing or working with distributor networks (ideally across EMEA).
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, applications, and customer environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; French, German, or Arabic are a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–70%) across the EMEA region.
  • Strategic mindset, resilience, agility, and a collaborative approach to influencing without direct authority.
