Tecan Partnering is a reliable and flexible laboratory automation partner offering customized development and solutions for numerous OEM applications in clinical diagnostics and life sciences  

 

Director Key Accounts Americas, Partnering Systems  

Location: USA   

Can be home office based or in NC or San Jose, CA office.  

 

What you will do?  

In this challenging and important role you are responsible for technology sales consulting, managing OEM key accounts and contract negotiations. This position will generate new leads for the Partnering Business and focus on building and maintaining relationships with those established customers.

Responsibilities will include:  

 · Identify new leads for Partnering development projects   

  • Manage the assigned key accounts. Understanding the strategy, portfolio, product road map of the account   

· Reach targets for the allocated key accounts This entails sales and GP responsibility  

· Assure long term, partnership type relations with the customers  

· Business Development and funnel generation in the Partnering Systems segment  

· Develop a shared account approach with Partnering Components team.   

· Close high level projects with R&D funding.  

· Grow the strategically important Partnering Systems business, profitably.  

· Responsible for annual order intake / sales and pricing / gross profit margins  

· Ensure customer retention and business extension, and widen customer base  

  

What you bring along   

For this position we are seeking a candidate with an advanced degree in Chemistry or Biology.  

  

Must have:  

· Degree in Life Science or Engineering  

· Business Development Experience  

· Strategic selling  

· Experience with negotiation and bringing complex business to business contracts to signing  

· Experience with management of a business unit (ability to talk 1:1 to key accounts on a high, VP-CEO level on technical, application related and all kinds of operational tasks)  

· Minimum of 8 years’ experience in managing large IVD or Life Science accounts with existing network  

· Excellent English, both written and oral
