Head, Key Accounts Americas, Partnering Systems

What you will do

Head, Key Accounts Americas, Partnering Systems will be responsible for the Partnering Systems Business in the US/Americas region. In this challenging and important role, you are responsible for managing key accounts and contract negotiation. This position will alsogenerate new leads and opportunities for the Partnering Systems Business in the Americas region and focus on building and maintaining relationships with those established customers.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • Manage the allocated PB accounts in the region. This entails sales and GP responsibility.
  • Manage Americas partnering systems team and support the team to achieve its annual targets and goals
  • Reach targets for the allocated PB accounts and Americas region Partnering Systems Budget and Forecast
  • Provide Business Development opportunities for the PB business for current and potential new future products of the Tecan group with exception of components.
  • Develop a shared account approach with colleagues of the PB Components group.
  • Assure long term, partnership type relations with the PB customers
  • Close projects with R&D funding.
  • Grow the strategically important PB business projects
  • Responsible for annual order intake / sales and pricing / gross profit margins
  • Ensure customer retention and widen customer base

 

What you bring along

For this position we are seeking a candidate with an advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or Engineering.

 

Must have:

  • Business Development experience in OEM market for laboratory instruments/systems
  • Large long term contract negotiation experience
  • Experience with management of a business unit (ability to talk 1:1 to PB accounts on a high, VP-CEO level on technical, application related and all kinds of operational issues)
  • Minimum of 5 years` experience in managing large accounts in an international environment
  • Minimum of 5 years B2B sales experience in the Clinical Diagnostics or IVD or Life Science field with existing contacts
  • Experience in leadership in an international environment
