Manufacturing Technician

What you will do

Under supervision, works from drawings, procedures, work instructions, diagrams, parts lists, and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations.  Uses a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and crimpers.

 

 

Responsibilities will include

  1. Follow work instructions.
  2. Assemble and test a variety of electro-mechanical components, assemblies or instruments.
  3. Perform complex documented tests.
  4. Make visual inspections and follow checklists.
  5. Take the lead in trouble shooting, diagnosing and repairing problems.  Must be able to confidently address problems if they arise, take appropriate action and involve others when needed.
  6. Align parts and sub-assemblies and perform a variety of documented checks.
  7. Check equipment for calibration, expired materials, follows all ESD and other general housekeeping procedures.
  8. Follow material handling guidelines and inventory procedures, including labeling and inventory controls.
  9. Able to communicate clearly with Manufacturing and R&D engineers regarding complex technical issues.
  10. Able to read and interpret complex drawing and assembly instructions for multiple production lines.
  11. May verify final system completeness and operation to release for final inspection and shipping.
  12. Able to backflush shop-orders.
  13. Meet individual and production targets.
  14. Continuous Improvement on the line - contribute  in minimum one Kaizen per year.

 

 

 

What you bring along

  • One + year of relevant experience
  • Detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English - reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to perform shop arithmetic and measurements.
  • Proficient in the use of small manual and power tools.
  • Must possess basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
