Marketing Manager

What you will do

Manage marketing communications to achieve business goals associated with optimizing and improving the sales and lead funnel.


Responsibilities will include

Lead management activities:

  • Develop appropriate messaging and content around Tecan Partnering's products and services and interface with Global and PB Marketing Teams to leverage available resources and channels for distribution and awareness.
  • Responsible for marketing activities calendar and results (ie. Leads) including messaging and tradeshow logistics for assigned Tecan Partnering product area(s).
  • Implement web strategy, SEO results, and drive improvements in close collaboration with Product Management and Global and PB Marketing.
  • Track and improve marketing budget ROI, lead & opportunity conversion rates, and ensure execution of priorities within budget. Implement marketing strategies with analytical and data driven approaches and provide analysis and report of progress on periodic basis.
  • Leverage new technologies and marketing channels to drive continuous improvement in lead generation.
  • Expand contacts database in CRM via effective lead campaigns.
  • Demonstrate success in product launch activities and periodic marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and coordinate vendors and contractors to support marketing activities.


Market research & brand management:

  • Measure/improve customer awareness in target demographics and markets for assigned Tecan Partnering products and solutions.
  • Implement content strategy and messaging to support the business value proposition and brand positioning strategy.
  • Conduct market research utilizing best practices and techniques


Support and other activities:

  • Coordinate periodic event(s) for Tecan Partnering’s sales team to align activities, messaging and support training needs.
  • Work closely with Product Management to provide sales tools, such as training sessions, brochures, apps, and drive video production and campaigns to generate sales leads that will become opportunities and eventually convert to sales wins.
  • Other duties as assigned.



What you bring along

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business/marketing field or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in the Life Sciences, Diagnostic or Biotech industry is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, SAP a plus
  • Proficient in digital/web/social media marketing
  • Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic and/or life science instrument principles
  • Experience with OEM or B2B marketing
  • Technical writing experience or capabilities is strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written English required
  • Mandarin or German language skills is a plus
  • Good communicator in both inter-cultural and multi-level situations
  • Proven track record of driving and leading projects. Solution and detail oriented with hands on approach to projects
  • Convincing and tenacious with a strong sense of ownership.  Takes initiative
  • Creative & innovative
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams (e.g. with Sales, Marketing, Project teams, etc.)
  • Must be able to travel 20% of the time
