Customer Success Specialist

What you will do

This position is responsible for maintaining and improving OEM customer satisfaction to promote customer loyalty. Collaborate with Customer Success Manager, peers, and stakeholders to support customer success in all areas of business.  Support Tecan’s corporate growth of OEM business, while supporting profitability and meeting marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives through active professional management.

These tasks are conducted in line with the policies and directives set by the Global PB

management as well as with the processes which are approved globally to be used by the local



Responsibilities will include

  1. Manage escalation of critical customer issues:
    1. Communicate proactively and timely with OEM clients on product issues in coordination with OEM Sales, support, & technical teams.
    2. Internally organize, prioritize, and communicate about the critical customer escalations to resolve issues effectively and timely.
  2. Support Global OEM Sales organization to increase customer satisfaction of key OEM clients.
  1. Regular conference calls with customers and relevant teams depending on in-process activities.
  2. Contribute to periodic account business reviews and strategic planning together with Sales.
  1. Monitor, report, and drive continuous improvement based on customer satisfaction indicators such as customer surveys, KPIs, scorecards, etc.
  2. Participate in cross-functional product and quality review teams regarding material, quality claims, and service
  3. Participate in trade shows and conferences to engage with customers together with Sales as required
  4. Other duties and projects as assigned.


What you bring along

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in business, communications, engineering, or natural sciences
  • Prior experience in customer facing support, marketing, or sales is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic and/or life science instrument principles preferred
  • Exposure to medical device industry and regulatory compliance practices is a plus
  • Must be able to actively participate in meetings with all levels of management and contribute unique perspectives and value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross functional teams (ex. with KAM, Project teams, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills (English).  Other languages a plus.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure to manage customer expectations and communicate solutions
  • Must be an analytical thinker with keen problem-solving, process development and improvement, as well as task planning and delegation skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership.  Persistent and tenacious to ensure customer success.
  • Understand implications of customer success on financial impact to business
  • Travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally)
