Senior Manager Key Account Products (80-100%)

Your contribution
As a Senior Manager Key Account Products, you are responsible to manage and oversee all business operations related to Key Account OEM customer products of Tecan’s IVD & Life Sciences Partnering Business. You will be the main contact person for key account customer(s) in day-to-day operations, from late-stage development to market launch readiness, managing the product life cycle during multi-year supply phase until end of life/ next generation solution development. Your responsibilities lie in managing the key account partners systems products ensuring product success through quality and supply performance as well as market growth by driving innovation in existing products and/or development of follow-on products. You are the key liaison for the customers to internal counterparts in R&D, Operations, Service, Quality and Regulatory. With your strong customer focus, communication skills and business acumen, you drive customer satisfaction, build long-lasting business partnerships and drive business growth with key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Act as central point of contact for Key Account customers for all day-to-day operational aspects regarding their Systems products, represent the client interests from development to end of life in internal teams
- Oversee operational life cycle management of existing products, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, documentation, and financial performance in close collaboration with the dedicated Sales counterpart
- Lead key client meetings like quarterly business reviews, quality reviews as well as internal product care meetings, steering meetings, with regular attendance of executives
- Guide customers through design and regulatory changes and global or local events impacting their business (e.g. tariffs)
- Maintain and manage budget, sales, and forecasts for assigned accounts, ensuring adherence to contract terms in collaboration with Sales
- Oversee product profitability and drive improvement measures with stakeholders
- Lead Product Care Team for assigned products and product families, defining and monitoring critical KPIs, regularly reporting to customers and Tecan management
- Implement corrective measures when KPIs deviate from targets, leading cross-functional teams to ensure success
- Apply your business mindset and client & market understanding to grow the partnership through driving innovation in existing products and/or development of follow-on products that align with the client’s needs
- Provide cross-functional guidance and support for the teams, and continuously seek improvements to Tecan processes

Your background

- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, or Engineering; further education in Product Management, Project Management or Business Administration
- Experience in liquid handling and robotics, clinical diagnostics, and/or life sciences
- 5+ years’ experience in highly complex system development, supporting system sales activities, and/or product/lifecycle management
- Experience working with customers/partners in a B2B setting, OEM experience is a plus
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and/or complex products (HW, SW, services)
- Expertise in negotiating complex contracts, particularly in development and supply agreements is a plus
- Proficiency in English; German would be an asset.
- High natural authority, power of persuasion, and ability to handle rapidly changing market and customer situations
- Strong communication skills, experience in communication to executives is a plus
- Team-oriented, customer-focused, persistent, reliable, and self-motivated
- Willingness to travel worldwide (10–20%)
