Technical Support and Training Specialist

Your contribution
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of technical support and training for Tecan’s global customer base. You will be responsible for producing, preparing, and delivering technical product trainings worldwide, as well as providing comprehensive 2nd level technical support in line with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
· Coordinating and delivering complex 2nd level technical support globally, both remotely and on-site
· Communicating autonomously with local organizations, 3rd level support, OEM customers, and end-customers
· Investigating technical issues and providing effective solutions
· Releasing and maintaining content in the worldwide solution database
· Participating in quality and risk investigations as a member of the Complaint Unit Circle
· Monitoring product quality and supporting continuous product improvements as an active member of the Product Care Team (PCT)
· Creating and maintaining spare parts in SAP and related documentation, managing obsolescence
· Performing administrative tasks in SAP and Windchill
· Maintaining and revising service-related documentation (e.g., service manuals and checklists)
· Developing, planning, and conducting training courses for Tecan employees, distributors, OEM customers, and end-customers
· Participating in and leading service and support related projects
Your background

· You have a technical education in the mechanical, electronic, or electrical field, or equivalent education
· Experience in customer support, ideally with medical, pharmaceutical, or clinical diagnostic instruments, and a proven ability to work with different cultures
· Advanced knowledge of Windows and MS Office, with SAP experience being an advantage
· Strong communication skills, able to deal with demanding customers and work under pressure in an organized and analytical manner
· Negotiation skills in English, German is an asset
· Willingness to travel worldwide (20-30%)
· You are customer and solution oriented, with high quality awareness, a representative and confident appearance, and a balanced, pro-active personality
· You are a team player with strong communication and motivation skills, solid intercultural behavior, and strong analytical abilities
