Summary: The Sales Representative, Southeast US. 

 

Reports To: Director of Sales

 

What You Do:

 

  1. Meets or exceeds established sales objectives in the assigned territory
  2. Manages, supports and retains customer accounts in assigned territory
  3. Develops and grows existing customers in assigned territory
  4. Identifies and develops new accounts in assigned territory
  5. Meets established product distribution goals for the territory
  6. Submits accurate weekly forecasts in a timely manner
  7. Maintains their instance of CRM at an acceptable level in regards to sales funnel and customer contacts
  8. Follows up on leads and customer requests in a timely manner
  9. Meets or exceeds Key Performance Metrics, as established by management
  10. Maintains and promotes a proactive sales and support approach in the territory
  11. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the territory’s trends and activities
  12. Implements solid phase extraction procedures at customer sites by maintaining in-depth technical knowledge
  13. Participates in national tradeshows, as required, and identifies and attends regional shows to promote business growth
  14. Manages and coordinates all aspects of customer demonstrations within assigned territory
  15. Researches and maintains knowledge of competing products, including pricing and marketing activities
  16.  Researches and maintains knowledge of accounts and their key personnel
  17. Identifies new product and market development needs, and communicates to Director of Sales
  18. Installation, Preventative Maintenance and On-Demand support, as needed
  19. Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays
  20. Other duties as assigned

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITEIS INCLUDE THE PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB. THE JOB DESCRIPTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMPLETE LISTING OF ALL MISCELLANEOUS, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DUTIES, WHICH MAY BE ASSIGNED DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or other Life Sciences
  • M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, preferred · Minimum of 3 years of industry related sales experience, specifically sales of SPE products, with a focus on smart consumables preferred.
  • Highly technical background may be substituted for sales experience
  • Knowledge of Solid Phase Extraction Techniques, such as D&S, SLE, LLE, SPE
  • LCMS experience, preferred
  • Experience with CRM
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • SAP Experience, preferred
  • Experience operating within an ISO 9001/13485 compliant environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a cross cultural environment
  • Ability to prioritize
