Essential Responsibilities:
- Development of MedTech business for Tecan’s CDMO brand Paramit with focus on tier 1&2 accounts.
- Develop, manage and structure MedTech global sales team.
- Actively engage in Partnering Business division development, culture development, strategy and midterm planning (MTP).
- Close collaboration and alignment with Partnering Business teams, e.g. Life Sciences/Diagnostics teams, Strategy & Business Transformation, Commercial Excellence, Strategic Key Account Management and Marketing.
- Build relationships with potential MedTech customers for profitable growth and expand business with existing MedTech accounts.
- Management of revenue, profit and growth development of Partnering Business accounts worldwide.
- Ensure customer retention and widen customer base.
- Secure order entry and sales plus meet/exceed budget.
- Development of annual geographical and account specific plans.
- Develop a prioritized business plan, processes and KPIs including a market map, territorial and individual priorities and ensure regular review of those activities.
- Build strong relationships with global MedTech accounts to identify new business, prepare quotes and execute into profitable business.
- Grow the MedTech sales funnel and business, maintain the CRM accordingly.
- Manage and grow the MedTech global sales team.
- Take an active part in the Partnering Business management team.
- Build strong relationships with the relevant Tecan leaders in Life Sciences/Diagnostics, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Legal.
- Engage in negotiating prices, terms of sales or other contractual terms and execute agreements/contracts in close collaboration with Operations and Legal.
- Meetings at customer sites, at Tecan or virtual, e.g. presentations of proposals or concepts.
- Regular reporting of business progress along suitable KPIs and action plans.
- Adherence to the PB sales processes and regulatory compliance.
- Travel approximately 30% globally to meet with customers, visit trade shows/conferences and team meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+-years’ experience in U.S.
- Sales management/leadership in an international environment or minimum 5-year successful sales experience exceeding targets
- Experience in B2B environment of minimum 3 years
- CDMO industry knowledge
- Experienced executive with high natural authority (charisma) and power of persuasion
- Deliberate decision taker and strong executor with focus and deliver on committed, sustainable results
- Entrepreneur who knows and has proven how to win new business and grow existing business profitably
- Displays healthy ambitions and accepts challenging objectives, shows initiative and drive
- Highly self-motivated and always capable of energizing organizations and teams
